So today Jon and I decided to explore the area that our new house will be in, and we came across a bowling alley/arcade/restaurant that’s about 5 min away. It looked pretty cool so we decided to bowl a few games. After four games I came to the conclusion that I will never have a high paying career in the fast-paced and exciting world of professional bowling. In my highest-scoring game I bowled a 72. It was pretty depressing, there was a family next to us whose 7 or 8-year-old routinely knocked down more pins than I did. I did beat Jon one game (he kept getting gutterballs for some reason) but the other 3 he beat me soundly. Oh well, I guess I’ll never be on “Bowling with the Champs.”
On a different and less family-friendly note, Jon and I watched a rather entertaining movie last night with the creative and descriptive title “Whore of the Rings.” Although I’d definately say that “Lord of the Rings” had better production value, there’s something to be said for a movie where the wizard’s name is Gancock. And I don’t think there was any anal sex in the original, although I haven’t watched the special uncut edition yet…
We went to Uwajimaya yesterday and got the stuff (including a hot plate) to make sukiyaki and yakisoba noodles, so thats what I made for dinner tonight. It was pretty tasty.
Well the weekend is pretty much over, so I should probably go do all the productive things I promised myself I’d get done before tomorrow, so night night for now.
