So the weather’s been really shitty for the past couple of days here. We got like 4 inches of snow on Monday night and it’s been cold enough that it hasn’t melted yet. If we were back in WI, this wouldn’t be a big deal, the city would have plowed, salted, etc and we’d all be able to get on with our lives. However, in Portland, they’re not really equipped to deal with that much snow, so now, four days later, it’s still sitting on the roads. It’s supposed to warm up this weekend though, so hopefully it’ll melt off.
In other news, I just found out that I can start school at Western Culinary in Feb instead of waiting until April, so that’s pretty exciting. The only downside is that class is from 7am til noon, which means I’ll have to leave the house at 6am. That might take some getting used to, lately I’ve been staying up until 3am or so and sleeping til noon. I really should try to get on a more normal schedule.
I’m going back to Milwaukee to visit my friends at the end of the month. It’ll be the first time I’ve been back since we moved out here a year and a half ago. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone again, especially since I’ll be there for 2 friend’s birthdays. It’ll also be nice to eat at some of my favorite restaurants. I think I’ll probably spend more time at Noodles and George Webb while I’m in town than anywhere else
